Rules & Expectations!
Anchor 1
A classroom is part of a community and, as members of that community, there are certain rules that you are expected to comply with. For instance, when you drive a car, you agree to obey the laws pertaining to road safety, such as obeying the speed limit or wearing your seatbelt.
Rules
1. Stay in your seat unless given permission to move.
2. You may bring bottled water or chewing gum to class, unless we're performing a lab.
3. Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged before speaking.
4. Demonstrate SAXON pride in your actions: Treat others as you would wish to be treated.
Expectations for you
1. You will come to class prepared. Make sure you bring the following,
every day:
-
Pen or Pencil
-
A notebook for notes
-
Loose leaf paper for in-class assignments
-
Your homework or lab-report, when they are due.
2. Cell Phones have the potential to be a distraction to everyone in the classroom. Please keep your cell phone turned off before entering the class.
3. Take pride in the work that you do. The work that you turn in should represent your best effort. If you are having trouble in the class, talk to me. I want you to succeed! Copying from others is either cheating or plagiarism; Neither behavior is tolerated in this classroom.
4. Come to class on time. When the bell rings, you are expected to be in this room.
Expectations for your teacher
Just as I make expectations of you, you can have certain expectations of me:
1. I will come to class prepared, ready to teach you.
2. I will treat you with respect, fairness, and dignity.
3. I will return graded work promptly.
